Today at work...

I congratulated a woman for raising $3200 from various donors so that she could travel to Africa and build a house and work with AIDS children. She then held her finger up to me, waving it back and forth and said, "No, no, the Lord raised the money."

Then quoted to me, "Where He guides, He provides."

Needless to say I was shocked and left speechless. I think I muttered, "Yep" and shook my head awkwardly. I was uncomfortable. Then I racked my brain trying to remember if I had used the word "fuck" or "shit" in front of this lady--both words are pretty tight in my everyday conversation and vocab. Anyhoo, I am pretty sure I kept myself in check. But geesh...a far cry from what I am used to.
