Why washing my hair on a Saturday night seems like a good plan.

I didn't sleep well last night. Tossing, anxiety-filled head. I managed to be woken up by my sister at 9am calling me on my cell.

Me: "Hello?" trying to sound all perky and not at all still asleep

My Sister: "What are you doing?" blunt and to the point

Me: "I was sleeping." put-off at this point and not caring if she knew I was still asleep at 9am as I made my way back to the bed and under the covers with the phone.

My sister: "Well...blah blah blah.." and so on with her story...not at all bothered that she woke me up. No apology. I am use to this by now. In fact, I think she was rather pleased with herself. I think she makes it her goal early in the morning to wake my ass up.

Normally I would not mind, but last night I woke up about 5 times and the little sleep I did get was not defined as "deep."

So I was semi-productive today. I took a nap around 5pm. I decided about an hour ago I would just take it easy this evening and see what was on TV.

I haven't explored the many channels that I have access to now that I am a "cable person." I have a short memory. I can't be bothered and when I am presented with too many options, as in too many channels to choose from, I will choose nothing at all.

But I tried Fuse TV--and apparently there is actually a show where people compete to strip nearly naked in front of videos playing behind them. I was shocked! Not in a conservative way *shocked* mind you, as I don't care who you or how many people youwant to bare your behind to, but *shocked* that this is actually a show. The first girl up had a nice body but a "Butter Face." She was a bad dancer, and what made it worse, she was dancing to the Killers. I could watch no more. I turned it off--came upstairs to my trusty blog to enter my disdain for my viewing options. I decided I would rather pamper myself this evening by washing my hair with some shiney shampoo and turning in early with a book and some peaceful thoughts. Adieu.

I take it you do not have a TV your bedroom. It's hard to step away when it's so easy to surf all those channels.
Let's see what happens when your hair is already shinny, when you have a so-so book...I give you a week and you'll be surfing with rest of us.

....don't worry it does not have to be mindless surfing...add PBS and the numerous Discovery channels and you feel so much better.

No--I refuse to have a TV in the bedroom. Yeah--I like BBC America, HGTV, PBS and the History channel. And that stuff didn't make my hair shiney at all, soft yes, shiney no.
