basketball

I don't like basketball, but with the Mavericks in the championships I am automatically all excited about it, although I would never sit through an entire game. So I was just watching the opening shinanagans before the game starts--you know when they introduce the players, sing the Star Spangled Banner, pyrotechnics are going off and shit and cheerleaders are dancing around. It was visual overkill--something that would inspire a Simpsons episode for sure.

Anyway--so this guy is standing in the middle of the court waving two large white flags with cheerleaders dancing around him. They had a big red dot in the middle of them. I am thinking, "Why are they waving around two Japanese flags?" It turns out they were big white flags with basketballs in the middle of them not red dots. Nevertheless--the whole spectacle was whack.
